Positive Energy Representations, Holomorphic Discrete Series and Finite-Dimensional Irreps

Let G be a semi-simple non-compact Lie group with unitary lowest/highest weight representations. We consider explicitly the relation between three types of representations of G: positive energy (unitary lowest weight) representations, (holomorphic) discrete series representations and non-unitary finite-dimensional irreps. We consider mainly the conformal groups SOo(n, 2) treating in full detail...

Integral Representations for Neumann - Type Series of Bessel Functions

Recently Pogány and Süli [Proc. Amer. Math. Soc. 137(7) (2009), 2363–2368] derived a closed-form integral expression for Neumann series of Bessel functions of the first kind Jν . In this paper our aim is to establish analogous integral representations for the Neumann-type series of modified Bessel functions of the first kind Iν and for Bessel functions of the second kind Yν , Kν , and to give l...

Principal Series Representations of Metaplectic Groups

We study the principal series representations of central extensions of a split reductive algebraic group by a cyclic group of order n. We compute the Plancherel measure of the representation using Eisenstein series and a comparison method. In addition, we construct genuine central characters of the metaplectic torus in the simply-laced case.

Integral Representation for Neumann Series of Bessel Functions

A closed integral expression is derived for Neumann series of Bessel functions — a series of Bessel functions of increasing order — over the set of real numbers.

Metaplectic Forms and Representations

where the image of A is in the center of G̃. If G and G̃ are topological groups, and if A is a discrete subgroup of the center of G̃, then we may think of G̃ as a cover of G, in the topological sense. So we will sometimes use the term covering group. Very often for us, A will be the group μn(F ) of n-th roots of unity, in a given field F . We will use this notation only if |μn(F )| = n. By a Metapl...
